A: slotMusic MP3 files are located in the "My_Music" folder on the slotMusic card. Most
phones will recognize the music in this folder and will play it back. Some phones may look for
music in another folder. If your phone requires a different folder, it is created upon insertion
of the card into the phone. So all you will have to do is to move the music files from "My_Music"
to the folder that is recognized by your phone.
So, in case your phone does not play the music files after updating its player's library, it's
probably because it is looking for the music files in a specific folder. Here is what you'll have
to do to solve this:
A: Most phones with a microSD slot support the native slotMusic format, MP3 files up to 320kbps. Some phones even come with media buttons and will recognize a slotMusic card and its music upon insertion. Other phones, such as Windows Mobile phones, may require you to update the music library. If the music isn't instantly recognized, launch the phone's media player and update its library. Refer to the how-to video on the slotMusic.org Support section.
A: The package your card came in should have a label on the front that indicates that
the artist you have chosen includes bonus content in addition to the MP3 music.
Another way to know if you have bonus content is to look for a folder on your slotMusic
card other than the My_Music folder where your music resides. For example videos would reside
in the slotMusic_Video folder.
You will first want to find the image that's formatted for your phone. The image that ends in .JPG as the file extension will most likely be formatted to work with your phone. Some phones even support the ability to set this image as your default wallpaper or home screen image.
A: Your first step is to launch your mobile video player or picture browsing application.
Some devices may require you to point to the storage card to access the files if it's defaulted
to internal memory.
If your phone finds the bonus content available on the slotMusic card after launching your
player then you may be able to play or display it (depending on your phone's support of image
and video formats). There will be several formats of videos and images stored on your slotMusic
card so that you can also view and play them on your computer and other media players.
A: It's likely your phone doesn't have the ability to read the video or image content.
The ability to view videos and images is not supported on all mobile phones.
Just because your phone doesn't support viewing the videos doesn't prevent you from enjoying
them on your PC or other media players. You can insert your slotMusic card into your PC and
play them through the USB adapter.
A: If your mobile phone supports the ability to locate and play video, then you will want to only play the videos on the slotMusic card formatted for mobile phones. These videos will be the .3GP files that have the words "128K" and "QCIF" in their title, and will be the smallest in size of all the videos.
A: This most likely means that you selected the video that wasn't formatted for your phone.
You will need to locate the video that ends in .3GP as the file extension and launch it.
If you launch the .3GP file and your phone still does not play the video then it's likely
your phone does not support playback of the mobile video on the slotMusic card.
Just because your phone doesn't support viewing the videos doesn't prevent you from
enjoying them on your PC or other media players. You can insert your slotMusic card
into your PC and play them through the USB adapter.
